"Chinese Fun" is a photo series taken by Stefano Cerio, an Italian photographer working in China, which studies how places built for entertainment, such as arcades and amusement parks, look without visitors. Cerio ventured into these parks during the off-season or after closing hours and explored the loneliness felt in them without children running amuck. This photograph, taken in Beijing at Tuanjiehu Park, shows a group of bumper boats lying in the emptied pool where people normally drive them.
Shinji Nakaba is a Japanese artist who has created "wearable sculptures" since 1974. Nakaba carves human and animal skulls out of oyster pearls and turns them into jewelry such as rings and brooches. His designs are sold online and have been displaced at various museums around Japan and the U.S. This interesting medium draws many people to view and purchase his work.
